SB-PR-I by Maxwell: An interface board for a smart BMS
Companion board for interfacing LT BMS with electromechanical PDUs.
SB-PR-I is an interface board to connect the LT BMS with external contactors and hall effect current sensors
Combined with contactors and current sensors, the SB-PR-I acts as the BMS’s power-distribution unit (PDU). It is recommended for low-medium voltage & high current applications.
Short Circuit Protection
Fuse for overcurrent protection
Low power consumption
External contactors can be connected
Product capabilities &
features.
External Contactor Support
The SB-PR-I supports up to 4 contactors that can be connected for charge, discharge,pre-charge & auxiliary.
Hall Effect Sensor
SB-PR-I supports dual-range hall-effect current sensors.
Engagement and Disengagement
SB-PR-I connects or disconnects the battery from the external application based on commands from the BMS
Safety
The SB-PR-I protects the battery against overload or short-circuit, reports contactor weld to the BMS via digital output and protects its input power supply through the onboard fuse
